Writing in the Vicinity of Art

I write in the vicinity of art (as Robert Smithson put it) producing fiction and non-fiction. A collection of my writing is published in Writing in the Vicinity of Art, Volume 1. A second volume is coming soon.

I have participated as a text-based artist in a number of recent art projects.

I produce future fiction, inspired in part by my collaborations and engagements with contemporary artists.

I write books, catalogue essays and articles on contemporary artists. I often write with the artists rather than on or about them.
