Just returned from London and a meeting about art on the waterways. Last year a new charity, the Canal & River Trust, took on responsibility for many canals and rivers in England and Wales. They are running a programme of Arts on the Waterways to raise awareness and engagement with these wonderful sites. My own project with Urbonas Studio in Oxford – River Runs – was supported by them and I’m writing a book on this that will be published in a few months time by Modern Art Oxford. Their other projects have included Film Poems and a Canal Laureate. Check out:
